WHO WE ARE

Binney & Sims was first established in 2013 by Katie Davies-Binney and Phill Sims. Building a solid reputation in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and now covering up to Thrapston, we now have a dedicated team of 6 providing quality design and planning services to our clients.

Our team is a friendly, tight-knit unit, with a designated member handling each stage of our process, so you know you are getting the best outcome all the way through your project.

Our APPROACH

1. Initial Briefing

We provide a free initial meeting for us to get to know you and your project, and for you to get to know us.

2. Survey + Preparation

Once you are happy to proceed, we survey the site and draw up the existing property. We also finalise the project brief with you, so we can crack on with design.

3. Design

We draw up 2-3 initial ideas to get a sense of what can be accomplished in the space. We then tweak the designs with you until you are happy.

4. Planning

We prepare and submit your planning application and keep updated as the application progresses.

5. Aftercare

After approval, we can put you in touch with builders, engineers and specialists to move your project along to the next stage.

Katie Davies-Binney

Design Director

Katie is a company director and the first face you see in our process. Undertaking initial visits, she will visit you and your property to talk through ideas and get the inspiration flowing. With over 15 years of experience, she has an innovative and practical approach when it comes to residential design.

Heather Stewart

Planning Lead

As a liaison between client and council, Heather is well versed in the complex planning process, with 7 years’ experience preparing, submitting, and managing applications for approval. She is always on the other end of the phone to help guide you through.

Accountant

Helen is an AAT accredited accountant, and an enthusiastic, dynamic member of our team, who helps keep the business on track.

Administrator

At Binney and Sims, Lynda is the first point of call, the friendly voice on the phone ready to answer your questions. She sets up our visits and makes sure the rest of the process runs smoothly, for both you and our team.
